On August 2018, Quinn was on the Keto diet for about 6 months to see if it could improve her seizures. If restricting a little human from indulging in her favorite pasta and all things delicious and carbie sounds like a nightmare to you, your feelings are warranted. However, it is not as disastrous as I had imagined. Here are some tips and tricks we learned in that keto chapter. Perks of the birthday parties
On Ty’s birthday week, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how we used to celebrate Ty. It all began when Ty was just about to turn one years old. He had plenty of Aunts and Uncles who wanted to not just celebrate, but volunteered to make it memorable. With no kids of their own yet, Ty’s parties quickly grew to be creative and elaborate celebrations.
Ty’s birth story
My oldest turns 10 today and it also marks my 10 year anniversary as a Tiger Mom. My family was a little worried about him being born into the year of the tiger 🐯. My parents kept teasing me that it was a tough zodiac sign and he was going to be a “rough” one. So I did what any defiant first-generation Asian American would do against the negative omens about my first born cub. I leaned into my role as his Tiger Mom.

I had a lot of surprises in 2015, but getting pregnant with Eli was my biggest. For my prior pregnancies, I needed fertility assistance to get pregnant, so we didn’t think we would be in danger of a surprise baby. But…. SURPRISE!!!
